Our story

Innovate UK collaboration marks a milestone in sustainable manufacturing. Partnering with tech leaders, Aeramine's project transforms UK scrap copper into top-tier feedstock for the needs of UK additive manufacturing.

Aeramine was founded in 2021 by two friends - Alex Lapis and Raymond Lam. An industry outsider, the duo brought innovative ideas to the challenge of imminent global copper shortage and increasing supply chain disruption.

In 2023 Aeramine secured its part in the government backed project that is aimed at enhancing United Kingdom's self-sufficiency in critical minerals. Aeramine is currently building a refiner for upcycling scrap copper into high-purity material.
